Costa Tropical & Costa Del Sol
The Costa Tropical of the Granada province is famous for its natural beauty, tropical beaches and incredible climate. Across the entire coast you will find hidden “gems” with breath-taking views and magical clear blue water fronts.
Motril, Almuñecar and Salobreña are the three most important coastal cities of Granada. These are all villages with an ancient history dating back to the time of the Carthaginians and even as far back as the Iberians. Each city has its own enchantment, from the castle of Salobreña to the Roman ruins of Almuñecar or the incredible fishing port of Motril. Experience the beauty that the Spanish coastal cities of Granada have to offer.
Almuñecar
Almuñecar is the pretty fishing village of La Herradura, and the upscale Marina del Este.
Almuñécar has been occupied by the Greeks, Romans, and Arabs. Today, still somewhat isolated from the more commercialized areas of the Costa del Sol, it has become a magnet for those craving an authentic Spanish experience and a trip back into time on this sunny stretch of Andalusian coastline. With incredible restaurants, amazing view and beautiful beaches, Almuñecar will surely have you wanting to come back to visit again
Nerja
Nerja is a fishing town that borders the province of Granada, where the mouth of three rivers meet: the dry river, the honey river and the chillar river, and which enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine a year. Nerja is worth a day trip due to her spectacular views from Balcony Europa, Mauro caves, annual festivities, and beautiful beaches. About 45 minutes from Elysium the caves of Nerja will leave you in awe. Enjoy the incredible views near the balcony of Europe enjoying the sunset while drinking an ice-cold beer or cocktail. Dine out for lunch or dinner at our very favorite restaurant Oliva for an amazing experience.
Motril
Motril is the nearest coastal cities from Elysium. The historic fishing port has a lot to offer to those that would like to shop, dine, or visit the surrounding beach front. Whether visiting the Colligiete Church of Motril built over the great Mosque in the 16th century or eating at our favorite restaurant Zacarillo you will surly enjoy the small city with its own style and pace.
Salobreña
One of our favorite places to go and unwind is Salobreña. Salobreña is a beautiful and traditional\ white-washed village that sits atop a giant “rock”, capped with an ancient Moorish castle and surrounded by a blanket of lush farmland. It's one of the most attractive towns on the entire Spanish Mediterranean coast with spectacular sunsets and incredible beaches. Find yourself lost in a sea of people laying on the beach in the summer of enjoy the warm breeze and tranquility in during the off season. Salobreña is a must visit!
